Juventus summer signing Cristiano Ronaldo responded to Isco statement about Real Madrid aren’t ‘crying’ over losing him to Serie A Champions League.
Spain international spoke to the press ahead of his side’s Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday night at Santiago Bernabeu as the 26-year-old midfielder was asked about Los Blancos’ current situation and whether he thinks they’re missing the Portugal international.
Isco replied: “People have been talking about that all season. We can’t be talking about someone who isn’t here. I miss [Gareth] Bale and [Dani] Carvajal when they are not with us. There are plenty of solutions to score goals.
“We can’t be crying over someone who didn’t want to be here.”
Ronaldo was asked about Isco’s comments on Monday and had an equally defiant response.
Five-time Ballon d’Or who quit Spanish capital after nine years with the European Champions and said: “It’s all right. You can not cry.
“I do not have to talk about other clubs.
“Everyone knows the story I had at Real Madrid and what is important tomorrow’s game [against Manchester United]. It’s not for me to talk about the crisis of others.”
Ronaldo returns to Old Trafford on Tuesday as Juventus take on Manchester United in the Champions League matchday three in Group H.
