As he gets set for his return to recording and releasing music, Prophet EJ popularly known as ‘Jay Newton’ has revealed plans to proceed on a promotional tour to create awareness about his return from a brief hiatus and to promote his forthcoming gospel project next year.The Nigerian born US based artist who is preparing to launch His Great Grace Ministries in the coming months told us the tour tagged “BACK AGAIN TOUR” will mainly concentrate on colleges and universities in and around Miami and Florida as a whole, and will comprise live performances at select venues, radio/media visits for interviews, autograph signing and photo sessions.Jay said that the positive response of his fans since he announced the tour is making him think about adding more states and venues. “I have always wanted to embark on a tour for as long as I can remember, and so my aim is to use this opportunity to drum up support for my return project, a gospel/Christian project and first body of work since my return to music recording.”The tour is tentatively scheduled to kick off in February and run through the 21st of March 2023. “I previously thought of making it a media/press tour, but after sampling opinions and consultations with my team, we decided a full promotional tour should suffice,” Jay added.Jay Newton is a Nigerian born singer-songwriter, producer and writer. He is currently the founder and lead pastor of Great Grace Ministries based in Miami, Florida. The Nigerian American was raised in Lagos, Nigeria till his mid teenage years before relocating to the US. He has worked with major artists, producers and writers around the world including Major Lazer/ Walshy Fire, Ice Prince, Vanessa Mdee, and Konshens among others. One of his songs with Konshens peaked at number 5 on the Billboard reggae charts.
